You need to have a natural flair for it but I would recommend Business Studies and Textiles. And then a couple of subjects that will keep your options open.

Art, Graphic Design, Computers, and some schools even have Fashion Design. Hope this helps you.

Definitely think about taking the following classes.
1. Art I, Art II, Art III, and/or art IV
2. Jewelry Making (it comes in handy)
3. Marketing I, Marketing II
4. Drawing I, Drawing II
Different highschools have different available courses..
At my highschool we had Fashion class, Clothing design (showing you how to sew, make bags and clothes, etc),
also think about taking business and art courses.
But don’t sweat it if you don’t have those classes because they just teach you all this stuff when you get to college/university.
They just assume that not everyone will have those opportunities in highschool so you don’t have to take them.
- Textiles (Or Fashion and Textiles – make sure it is a design based course not an art based one)
- Art (Not essential but helpful)
- Design & Technology (You learn stuff like CAD)
Languages can help if you want to go to different countries looking for fabrics.
Business can help if you want to start your own brand.
